Sewing has been my hobby for many years now.
I have been making my own clothes for the longest time. This kind of sewing generates a lot of scrap fabric. As I could not bear to throw away even the smallest bits - and any keen seamstress would feel the same way - I started piecing them together. Before I knew it, I had fallen down the proverbial rabbit hole and landed in a patchwork wonderland of colours and patterns.
What started off as a few small projects - mainly intended as gifts - has today morphed into Lavande. I have learnt a lot through trial and error and loads of fun along the way.
I love the element of surprise that patchwork brings to any project. It is all about taking disparate pieces and creating a whole new pattern. You never know what is going to emerge at the end of it all.
Welcome to my world of patchwork (and other) creations. Thank you for stopping by.
